On 3/5/12, emergency Ordinance No. 2012-4 was passed to amend the time requirements and compensation for the Village Fiscal Officer. Normal office hours will now be 4 per day at the same hourly rate of $18.38, with paid holidays and 1 week paid vacation.

On 3/5/12, emergency Ordnance No. 2012-3 was passed to to amend the Village Administrator's compensation, effective retroactively to 1/1/12. The base salary amount will increase to $40,850, with an additional health insurance stipend of $4,850.

On 3/5/12, council passed Ordnance No. 2012-2 to amend Section 173.19(A) of the Weston Basic Code, which addresses parking restrictions for certain large vehicles. This change allows those vehicles to park on designated/posted areas of Village-owned property, without the engine engaged, during specified overnight hours.

On 1/17/12, council passed Emergency Ordnance No. 2012-1 to approve, adopt, and enact the 2012 Edition of the Ohio Basic Code as Weston's Code of Ordinances.

On 1/3/12, Resolution 2012-1 received the third reading and was passed unanimously by Village council. The resolution expresses the Village's opposition to centralization of municipal income tax collection, which is currently being considered by the State.

On 12/19/11, council passed Ordinance No. 2011-29 to amend the permanent appropriations as follows: An increase in the Street Lighting Fund of $200; Decreases in the General Fund ($1,894), the M/R Fund ($6,750); and the Fire Insurance Proceeds Fund ($10,000).

On 12/1/11, Emergency Ordinance No. 2011-25, to amend Ordinance No. 2010-6 regarding the reward program for First Responder Members of the Weston Fire Dept at the request of the Weston EMS, was passed during a special meeting of council. This increased the total amount to be divided up (pro-rata) from $3,000 to $6,000/year. This was followed by the passage of Emergency Ordinance No. 2011-26 to increase the appropriations in the EMS Fund by the amount of the change ($3,000).

On 11/21/11, Ordinance No. 2011-24, to appoint a prosecutor to represent the Village of Weston, Ohio in criminal and traffic cases and establishing compensation therefore, was passed by a majority vote of the Village Council. This retains the services of Mr. Esteban Callejas through the end of 2012.
