11/20/08- The Village of Weston would like to offer a reward to anyone with information in regards to the vandalism of the new piece of playground equipment at School House Park. Please contact the mayor or administrator at 419-669-3224.

11/3/08- The citizens of the Village of Weston are hereby advised that Section 94.111 of Weston's Basic Code now states that sidewalks in the village which are not free and clear of snow and ice of 2 inches or more within 24 hours after the abatement of any storm are declared a public nuisance. If the property owner fails to remove the snow and ice as required, the sidewalks will be cleaned at the village's expense. This cost, plus a $5 administrative fee, will then be billed to the owner of the property. Upon failure to reimburse the village for these costs within 30 days, the village shall make a written return to the Wood County Auditor of the action taken, with the statement of charges and fees by the village, the proper description of the premises, and a request that such amount be entered upon the tax duplicate so as to become a lien on such lands.
