Business Spotlight

Each newsletter we will be spotlighting a local Weston business to give you the scoop. This time, your local auto body repair and painting shop which was established in 1985, Crozier Body Shop.  This business is owned by Bob Ackerman, and managed by Sandy Heilman.  We took this opportunity to ask Mr. Ackerman some questions about the business and memories of Weston.

Q: What inspired you to start your own business, and what tips/advice do you have for new business owners or someone wanting to start their own business?

A: I wanted to be able to control my own destiny and treat customers with respect and honesty.

Q: Given that small business owners bear a lot of responsibility -- to their workers, community, and family -- can you tell us what motivates you?

A: The satisfaction of knowing that you are helping people.

Q: Can you tell us what you would like Weston citizens to know about your business and what sets your business apart from others in Weston?

A: Providing professional, quality work for auto body repair.

Q: What do you enjoy most about doing business in Weston and/or do you have any fond memories of Weston to share?

A: I have been a lifelong resident of the Weston area.  First job in 1963 was working at Businger Appliance.  In 1981, I worked for Crozier Ford managing the body shop.  In 1985, purchased the body shop and it is a family owned business.  Memories: Came to the Centennial in 1954, at age 9, to celebrate the 100 year founding of Weston.

A huge thank you to Mr. Ackerman and his wife, for taking the time to answer these questions.
